Brazilian liquor producer Romabev is employing NFC technology to connect shoppers with its Cachaça Roma brand and enhance the customer experience. Cachaça, Brazil’s national spirit, is a distilled spirit produced exclusively in the country and is used to produce the nation’s most famous cocktail, the caipirinha. The firm chose an NFC-enabled solution to facilitate traceability and thereby eliminate the risk of the drink being counterfeited, and as well as providing security to the product’s consumers.
