By RFID Journal

The event, to be held in London on Nov. 7 (with a day of testing on Nov. 6), will highlight leading companies' radio frequency identification deployments in the region, and demonstrate the latest technology solutions.

This year's RFID Journal LIVE! Europe conference and exhibition, to be held on Nov. 7 (with a day of testing on Nov. 6) at County Hall, in the heart of London, England, will feature an opening keynote address by Markus Pfender, Daimler's manager of intralogistics. Pfender will explain how Daimler is using radio frequency identification (RFID) across various product lines, and how the technology is improving operations.

Ben Wagenaar, Heathrow Airport's innovation technologist, will discuss how the airport employed RFID technology to ensure there would always be a trolley available whenever a passenger needed one. Wagenaar will explain how the innovation team worked with the airport's trolley operations team to design and test an RFID system that would be cost-effective and meet passengers' needs. The lessons learned will be invaluable for other organizations striving to deploy successful RFID solutions.

LIVE! Europe 2018 will focus on educating end users about how RFID technology is delivering real business benefits to companies in manufacturing, retail and other sectors. The event will open with three general sessions, then will divide into a Main Track and a Retail Track.

Among the companies that will present case studies at the event are Adidas, Quincy Bioscience, Reynolds, Stadium AB, St. James's Hospital, and Weir Oil & Gas. Experts from the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Auburn University and the University of Parma will also present, and there will be technology presentations by Stora Enso, Avery Dennison and SML RFID.

In addition to the in-depth, objective conference program, LIVE! Europe will feature an exhibit area in which leading technology companies will showcase their latest solutions. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from those who have already deployed RFID, and to network with leading end users. For more information, please visit the RFID Journal LIVE!
