RFID Journal Award Finalist: BAE Systems Gets Smart with Warehouse Utilization and POU Replenishment

BAE Systems, an international defense, aerospace, and security company, has developed a warehouse management system capable of providing real time storage space utilization metrics for the warehouse management team. The project increases RFID functionality in factories, labs, stockrooms, and warehouse, as well as expanding RFID capabilities to include tracking of assets coming in and out of warehouse, location of storage containers/pallets within the warehouse, and management of storage space. The firm is also piloting smart point of use (POU) solutions and expects to roll out the system to over 12 campuses in several states later in the year.
