RFIDJournal.com will be hosting a webinar on July 10 focused on how work-in-progress (WIP) tracking is currently being used in manufacturing.
Titled “Revolutionizing Manufacturing: Leveraging RFID for Real-Time WIP Tracking and Beyond,” the hour-long scheduled webinar will feature a panel discussion that dives into the transformative potential of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for WIP asset tracking within the manufacturing industry.
Kevin Berisso, Director, AutoID Lab University of Memphis, will be one of the featured panelists. Berisso is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Technology and is the Director of the Automatic Identification Laboratory. His areas of interest include robotics and industrial automation, in addition to bar codes and RFID. Kevin is a member of the AIM Technical Symbology Committee, in addition to the AIM RFID Experts Group. His research has included RFID and barcodes, and he is currently involved in using AI to help with passive RFID tracking.
Panel Members
Members of the panel scheduled are Doug Harvel, senior IT distribution analyst, Kontoor Brands; Rubin Press, chief commercial officer (CCO), Xemelgo; and Richard Woodburn, business development, passive RFID, Zebra Technologies Corp. James Hickey, managing editor, RFIDJournal.com, will be the moderator.
Throughout this webinar, the panelists will explore the practicalities of implementing RFID solutions, addressing challenges, building a strong business case, and scaling for complex operations.
Among the subject that will be explored are:
