RFID Journal, the world’s leading media and events company covering radio frequency identification technology, announced today that it has introduced a Web-based distance-learning course that will enable RFID professionals to prepare for the CompTIA RFID+ certification test.

The course consists of nine modules, which can be purchased individually or together as a package. Each module focuses on specific certification objectives created by CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, which designed the certification course with input from AIM Global and leading technology and end-user companies. RFID+ has been widely recognized as the industry-standard certification program for the RFID industry. The modules were created for RFID Journal by RFID4U, a leading RFID training company.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to offer CompTIA RFID+ certification training online,” says Mark Roberti, founder and editor of RFID Journal. “There are many people around the world who are unable to attend face-to-face training courses, because of travel or the demands of their job. This enables them to take the course remotely when they have the time.”

The nine modules are:

  • CompTIA RFID+: Interrogation Zone Basics
  • CompTIA RFID+: Testing and Troubleshooting
  • CompTIA RFID+: Standards and Regulations
  • CompTIA RFID+: Tag Knowledge
  • CompTIA RFID+: Design Selection
  • CompTIA RFID+: Installation
  • CompTIA RFID+: Site Analysis (before, during and after installation)
  • CompTIA RFID+: RF Physics
  • CompTIA RFID+: RFID Peripherals

Each module can be purchased separately for $199, or all nine as a package for $1,499. Information about the program is available online at www.rfidjournal.com/training.
