Whether it’s the Internet of Things (IoT), machine-to-machine (M2M) communications or the Connected World, AIM Global has created a committee to examine the low-level issues associated with the Internet of Things, and how RFID and automatic-identification (AIDC) technologies will play a part in the future. Such issues range from the global communications level down to the sensor and RFID tag level. Although governments in Europe, China and Korea have already invested billions of dollars, the U.S. government has yet to make any announcements regarding this subject, or to make a significant investment in the technology.
