Even a small tool left on the launch pad at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center could potentially damage a spacecraft during liftoff and jeopardize a mission. To prevent tools from being left behind by workers, Boeing has employed a real-time location system. Hear how this reduces the amount of time workers spend inventorying tools by enabling them to search for a specific tool, or to perform an inventory of all tagged items at the facility, quickly and cost effectively-reducing labor costs and increasing flight safety.
