How to open a door via RFID: First, take a plastic card with an embedded RFID transponder and slip it into the vertical crack between the door and the frame. Slide the card as far as it will go, at a perpendicular angle to the door. Then bend the card so that the side closest to you touches or almost touches the doorknob. Push the card in until you feel it slide in a little further, and then bend the card the opposite way, giving the door a nudge with your shoulder. It should open.

Oh, wait—you meant using an RFID solution, not an RFID card. Sorry.

There are access-control systems that you can purchase from vendors such as Assa Abloy or Applied Wireless ID, which could be integrated with your door. If you wave a card containing a recognized ID number, the lock will disengage and the door can then be pushed open. Such systems have been around for about 20 years now, and are very common.
