How expensive are flexible UHF RFID tags compared to standard UHF tags in a retail setting?

Michael,

I am unsure what you mean by "flexible RFID tags." All RFID transponders have some flexibility since you can bend the antennas. If they are bent too much, though, you could break the antenna off of the chip, which would render the transponder inoperable.

There are tags embedded in a cloth label that are sewn into a product. These cost five to 10 times the price of a simple inlay that can be inserted into a hangtag. The cost would depend on the volumes purchased, as well as the amount of heat and washings the tags are designed to withstand.

I hope to see you at RFID Journal LIVE! 2020 in September, where you can learn about RFID tags and more.
