Should I Develop My Own RFID System?

I would like to develop a 13.56 MHz reader with a display, TCP/IP communication, a keypad and some software inside. What can you recommend?

I would actually recommend you consider products already on the market, rather than developing your own. One high-frequency (HF) handheld with a screen that might suit your purposes is the JETT RFID reader from Two Technologies.

If you want to build your own readers, check out reader modules from FEIG, Minerva, Texas Instruments, and SkyeTek.
