RFID Journal announced today that two co-located events will be held in conjunction with this year’s RFID Journal LIVE! conference and exhibition, an event focused on radio frequency identification (RFID) and its many business applications. This year, LIVE! will be held on Apr. 15-17, at the San Diego Convention Center, located in San Diego, Calif. The co-located events are the Internet of Things Conference and IEEE RFID 2015.
The inaugural Internet of Things Conference will be held on Apr. 16-17, and will feature leading end users of IoT technologies, as well as several leading providers of IoT solutions. In addition, there will be an IoT pavilion in the LIVE! exhibit hall. The Internet of Things Conference will cover the technologies required to connect things to the Internet, including ZigBee radios, Wi-Fi, machine-to-machine software and cloud computing, as well as applications across many industries. Speakers will address both business-to-consumer and business-to-business applications.
The IEEE‘s annual conference on RFID is a major event for exchanging all technical RFID-related research. Its attendees include a mix of international practitioners and researchers from industry and academia, and spans numerous disciplines. Hot topics this year will include multiple-input, multiple-output (MIMO), ultra-wideband (UWB), power harvesting and biomedical applications. IEEE RFID 2015 is an opportunity to share timely research results in all areas of RFID technologies and their applications.
“Our goal has always been to help companies get business value out of RFID and related technologies,” says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal’s founder and editor. “Adding the Internet of Things Conference to LIVE! enables attendees to learn about other IoT technologies. And, of course, the IEEE RFID event enables them to learn about research going on around the world.”
LIVE! 2015 will also feature four industry-specific and four level-of-expertise conference tracks, as well as eight in-depth preconference seminars and workshops, four post-conference seminars, the RFID Journal Awards, the Coolest Demo Contest, fast-track training provided by RFID4U and International RFID Institute certification. What’s more, the event will offer exhibits and demonstrations conducted by the industry’s leading technology firms. For more information, visit www.rfidjournalevents.com/live.
