I reached out to Zebra Technologies to get its input. Carolyn M. Ricci, the company’s senior product manager for RFID, provided the following answer:
“We have tested and qualified Confidex labels in our printers. For the RZ series, the transponder placement guidelines are posted on our Web site, here. The advantage of the RXi4, with adaptive encoding technology, eliminated the need for these guidelines. The location of the inlay will be automatically detected by the printer, and optimum encoding settings will be configured.”
Readers are invited to post tips below regarding their use of Confidex RFID labels with Zebra printers.
