In the rush to take advantage of RFID’s enormous potential, Aftab notes that businesses have neglected to address some of these important questions. She also notes that, while many businesses proclaim the consumer benefits of RFID technology, polling indicates a different conclusion: in a recent survey consumers roundly rejected the idea of RFID product tracking being tied to personal payment information.
