RFID Journal Issues Call for Awards Submissions, Introduces 'Best RFID Thesis'

The company is now accepting entries for the 2012 RFID Journal Awards, including a new category designed to reward excellence in academic research.
Best in Show
The winner of this award will go to the company that exhibits the best new RFID product or service at the event.

Special Achievement Award
This award will be given to three individuals who have contributed to the RFID industry. Winners could be end users, researchers, vendors, inventors, standards developers or others who have furthered the advancement of the entire industry.

RFID Green Award
This award will be given to the end-user company that has demonstrated the best use of RFID technology to improve the environment, increase recycling or enhance sustainability.

"Over the past 10 years, we have really seen RFID technology evolve," says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "Each year, the submissions for our awards have become more impressive. I'm sure this year will be no exception, so I'm pleased we can showcase these great deployments and innovative new solutions."

RFID Journal's editors have selected an independent panel of judges to evaluate entries and choose this year's winners. Awards submissions are due no later than Jan. 31, 2012, with Best in Show submissions accepted through Feb. 28. There is no cost to submit an entry. Winners will receive their awards at RFID Journal LIVE! 2012—to be held on Apr. 3-5, 2012, in Orlando, Fla.— and will be featured in RFID Journal's print magazine.
