February 25, 2004—Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is currently one of technology's hot focus areas. Ironically, it has a long and relatively stable history behind it, originating in the late 60’s, but it is only in the last few years that cost declines combined with improved technology has really enabled widespread use.
