Schneider Electric, a global energy-management company headquartered in France, needs to know the status of its parts and equipment at all times. The company’s products are placed in very harsh environments with high voltage and high current that prohibit the use of wired sensors. Its equipment is often installed in areas in which no wires can be added and no battery can be used.
