From Space to Commercial Aviation: Applying Continuous Inventory Monitoring to Everyday Flights

Published: December 8, 2021

Problems with keeping up with inventory aren’t limited to here on earth. The International Space Station (ISS) has been using RFID to help solve inventory issues in orbit for years, and there are many new orbital habitats planned. Here on earth, there are pressures to improve inventory accuracy on everyday flights with low touch/no touch as a key consideration for keeping passengers safe. Learn how we can apply some of the RFID uses in the space program to help enable new value for commercial aviation for both passengers and cargo, and how the future of air travel, air safety, and cargo tracking will change.
