Analyst firms that follow the market say that in 2014, roughly $10 billion in RFID hardware, software and services were sold. This includes tags, readers, antennas and other hardware, and covers both active and passive systems. For a breakdown by category, you would need to purchase a report from a company that estimates market size, such as ABI Research, Frost & Sullivan or IDTechEx.
