Last month, at a reception held in São Paulo, Brazil, RFID Journal, Hewlett-Packard Brasil and the RFID Center of Excellence welcomed leading end users and RFID technology providers at a cocktail party hosted to celebrate the launch of our Portuguese-language Web site, RFID Journal Brasil.

At the event, I—along with Kami Saidi, HP’s director of operations for Mercosur, and Marcelo Pandini, HP Brasil’s manager of planning, fulfillment and country operations—discussed the potential of radio frequency identification technologies to improve the way companies in Brazil conduct business. We also unveiled a plaque commemorating the occasion.

I’m very excited about our partnerships with both Hewlett-Packard Brasil and the RFID Center of Excellence. We have a unique opportunity to work together to expand the RFID market within that country, and to help companies become more efficient. It was great to see the big turnout for the cocktail party.
