RFID Journal announced today that it is adding a new track, “Complying with Retailer RFID Mandates,” to the RFID Journal LIVE! 2022 conference program. The event will be held on May 17-19, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nev.
“More retailers are asking suppliers to put RFID tags on the items they sell,” says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal’s founder and editor. “This in-depth, one-day track will help suppliers choose a tag provider and ensure that their tags meet retailer performance requirements, are encoded properly, and have the proper information printed on the tag or label.”
The track will be held on Tuesday, May 17, and will consist of six sessions presented by experts in RFID tagging and retailer requirements:
An Overview of RFID in Retail Today
Speaker: Jonathan Gregory, director of community engagement for apparel and general merchandise, GS1 US
Choosing the Right Tag for Your Product

“This is a great opportunity for suppliers to learn what they need to do to meet the various tagging requirements from different retailers,” Roberti says, “and to then visit the exhibit hall, where they can meet dozens of tag providers that could meet their needs.” Suppliers purchasing a Conference Pass can attend sessions in any other track on May 18 and 19, including Retail and Apparel, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Logistics and RFID and Blockchain.
