Is it feasible to extend the read distance of an RFID tag to 100 yards?

Active RFID tags typically have a read distance of 100 yards, though some can read beyond that length. If you are trying to read passive tags at that distance, the only system I know of that is currently capable of doing so is the Mojix STAR system, which separates the transmit antenna from the receive antennas, and uses a sensitive phased array antenna to pick up passive tag signals from more than 100 yards away (see Mojix Takes Passive UHF RFID to a New Level and The Brightest Star).
