RFID Journal has announced its final agenda for LIVE! Europe—Scandinavia. The conference and exhibition, to be held on Oct. 24-25, 2012, in Oslo, Norway, will feature presentations from more than two dozen leading organizations, including the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), ThyssenKrupp, Airbus, the Danish Agriculture & Food Council, Vidrala, Wolftank, Codegate and HRAFN.
LIVE! Europe—Scandinavia, produced in partnership with GS1 Norway, will focus on educating end users about how radio frequency identification (RFID) technology is delivering real business benefits across Europe in such sectors as retail, manufacturing, construction and energy.
For the first time, the conference will include RFID in Construction and Energy, an in-depth preconference seminar sharing how the technology is being applied within those sectors. The seminar will cover:
• How to choose the proper tags for harsh environments
• How to address and overcome the oil and gas industry’s specific requirements for operation within harsh and hazardous environments
• How to plan and deploy RFID and other wireless technologies to ensure proper application performance
• How RFID can reduce transport and staffing costs, while also providing instant geographical coverage
“We are seeing many interesting new deployments throughout Europe,” says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal‘s founder and editor, “and our editors have put together a program that will showcase a variety of business applications that are delivering real value across major industry sectors.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from those who have already deployed RFID, network with leading end users and meet the solutions providers that have the right technology for their particular applications.
