Brad Hopkins is the Director of Condition Monitoring Product Management at HID Global. He leads functions of product management and technical requirements for the product line. Brad’s background is in dynamic systems, signal processing, data science, machine learning, and vibration-based condition monitoring. He received a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech. During this time, he conducted research in the areas of dynamics and control systems, as well as signal processing, machine learning, and mechanical system health monitoring. His previous positions include Condition Monitoring Project Engineer and Senior Data Scientist at Amsted Rail Co., Inc., as well as Adjunct Faculty in the Mechanical Engineering department at Southern Illinois University.
