RFID Journal Introduces Virtual Events

By Admin

The online seminars will provide a more robust program than traditional webinars, with end-user speakers and technology providers participating in each event.

RFID Journal today announced the addition of virtual events to its array of educational RFID products and services.

Similar to webinars, RFID Journal's virtual events will be offered by subject-matter experts and thought leaders presenting the latest information regarding business and technology issues related to the use of radio frequency identification. The key difference is that a virtual event provides a more robust program, with several speakers and sponsors participating in each event.

The first virtual event—RFID in the Construction Industry—will be held on Sept. 1, in partnership with FIATECH. Other tentative dates and topics for 2009 will include:

• Sept. 22—RFID in Oil and Gas

• Sept. 22—RFID in Manufacturing

• Oct. 28—RFID in Retail, Apparel, Footwear and Accessories

• Nov. 17—RFID in Health Care

• Dec. 1—RFID in Defense

These live, interactive programs will offer a convenient way to learn how companies are employing RFID technology to improve the way they do business, with presenters answering specific questions from attendees. What's more, the events are free.
