The event's cornerstone sponsor will explain how companies in the Middle East are benefiting today from using RFID, at the second annual conference and exhibition, to be held on Oct. 5 in Abu Dhabi.

RFID Journal has announced that Hergen Meyer, TagStone's wireless solutions architect and manager, and Reza Shibli, the company's director of product marketing, will present an A-to-Z roadmap for launching an RFID project, at the second annual RFID Journal LIVE! Middle East conference, to be held on Oct. 5, 2010, at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr hotel, in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

"We're extremely pleased to have the opportunity to be the cornerstone sponsor," says Mike Meranda, TagStone's CEO, "and explain how to determine the best ways to benefit from RFID, and then how to launch a successful project."

TagStone is a leading RFID systems integrator in the Middle East, helping clients drive sales growth, control operational costs and closely manage important business processes.

The event will also feature a presentation by Carlo K. Nizam, the head of value chain visibility and RFID at Airbus, the winner of the 2008 RFID Journal Award for Best Implementation (see Profits in Motion). Other speakers will include:

Alexious Mulemba, the group information technology manager of Alfahim Group

Catina G. Aghayan, a senior consultant with the Middle East RFID Association

Andy McBain, Motorola's senior product manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Soma Sekhar, TrackIT Solutions' CEO

Husain Ragib, TrackIT Solutions' chief administrative officer

Ahmed Al-Anezi, the director of quality management at Saudi Post Corp.

Georges Khalil, Active Identity's managing director

William Mapp, the president of BA Systems

The conference program will focus on how all types of RFID technologies—active, Wi-Fi, passive ultrahigh-frequency (UHF), passive high-frequency (HF) and more—can be used to improve operations in the construction, oil and gas, and logistics sectors. Like all RFID Journal events, LIVE! Middle East 2010 will feature leading end users objectively explaining how they employ the technologies to enhance efficiencies and streamline business processes.

RFID Journal LIVE! Middle East, RFID Journal's second annual event in the region, will feature technology exhibits and demonstrations conducted by some of the world's leading RFID companies. "RFID Journal is known worldwide for delivering high-value content that helps end users benefit from utilizing radio frequency identification," says Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor. "I am extremely pleased that we are able to provide top-level education and bring top-level exhibitors to the Middle East. This really is a unique opportunity for companies across the region to learn about how RFID can be used in their operations, and to meet the vendors that can help them deploy a successful solution."
