RFID Source-Tagging Options

Companies have four options for RFID-tagging items: ordering tags from a service bureau; overprinting and encoding RFID hangtags or labels with an RFID printer and appropriate software at their own facilities; mass-encoding items in a carton; or applying separate RFID tags at their own distribution facilities, associated to each item’s UPC code, before the goods are shipped to stores.
