Locating Vehicles at Manufacturing Site With RFID

Published: April 10, 2019

An American bus manufacturer needed a real-time yard-management solution that would enable it to monitor the locations of its vehicles on a 40-acre lot. In addition to its vast size, the project also posed technological challenges, because the system needed to be able to read the tags inside of all-metal buses, and since the yard itself is located within a valley, making RFID tracking difficult. Learn how the firm is successfully using RFID to provide real-time visibility in its outdoor yard, and to effectively manage production flow.
