IoT 2021: Connectivity on Your Terms

Published: April 18, 2018

Thirty-six billion Internet of things (IoT) devices are expected to be in use by 2021—at least four for every person on the planet. Commissioning, connecting and controlling these devices, which will encompass everything from household items to health care to sports, will be a handful of technologies already in use. These technologies will interact with the devices, as well as with RFID or NFC tags embedded in IoT objects, to provide connectivity on our terms. This presentation will look ahead three years and offer a perspective of what the world will look like and how it will function, and also discuss what IoT connectivity using NFC and RFID tags could mean for all of us and our businesses in the technology industry. The Internet of Things is exploding, and in this session you’ll find out how NFC tags and mobile handsets can help developers and manufacturers bring the benefits of the IoT to where we all live, work and play.
