September 20, 2004—After criticism from the Public Accounts Committee that the logistics systems used during last year’s Iraq invasion were inadequate, the UK’s Ministry of Defense has decided to more fully RFID-enable the military’s supply chain. The project is slated to be complete within five years. Its final cost has yet to be determined.
