September 9, 2004—It is usually increased supply efficiency that receives the RFID limelight. But there are plenty of other creative and economically compelling applications for which radio frequency identification is being used. So says Bob Moroz of Canada’s R. Moroz Ltd., for whom none of the last 40 projects were supply chain-oriented. Electronic ski lift passes, waste management enhancement, and swipe payments are some examples of the low-profile but important RFID applications being rolled out around the world.
