August 10, 2004—Target summoned hundreds of its suppliers Monday to the Minneapolis Hyatt Regency for a forum on the retailer’s RFID initiative. Less details are available regarding Target’s initiative than Wal-Mart’s, but what is known is that the first phase will be focused on a handful of stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
