September 22, 2004—The results from an RFID survey conducted at last week’s Frontline Conference and Expo indicated very strong interest in RFID from the marketplace, with 4 out 5 respondents saying they are planning an RFID implementation. But the good news was tempered by concerns over lack of standards, general marketplace immaturity, data integration, and, more than anything else, RFID’s stubbornly high cost.
