RFID support network launched

April 14, 2004—A much-needed network of support services to promote the widespread development of radio frequency identification (RFID) technologies will be launched at a special conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in London on April 28 by e.centre, the UK arm of not-for-profit standards body, EAN International. The support frame, known as the EPCglobal Gateway, will give suppliers and retailers alike access to training and enable them to influence the development of upcoming standards for RFID.
