RFID Journal announced today that key leaders from the retail industry will discuss the benefits they are achieving from using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology, at this year’s RFID Journal LIVE! conference and exhibition, which will be held next week at the Orange County Convention Center, located in Orlando, Fla. The session will provide an opportunity for retailers and brand owners to hear first-hand about the most important deployments in these sectors, and to find the solutions that meet their business needs.

The panelists include Greg Czerpak, the senior VP of merchandising at Lids, which ran an RFID project in conjunction with the World Series; Johan Stenström, a supply chain technologist at Stadium AB, which is currently running a successful RFID pilot; and Danielle Dawson, the former head of Tesco F&F‘s RFID project and the current head of Capgemini‘s connected retail initiative.

The panel will be moderated by Dean Frew, the CTO and senior VP of RFID solutions at SML, a leading provider of RFID software and tags for retailers and brands. “RFID is delivering powerful benefits for retailers and brand owners,” Frew says. “This panel is an opportunity for retailers to hear directly from companies with hands-on experience.” The panel will take place on Wednesday, Apr. 11, at 9 AM in the general session hall. All pass holders, including exhibit-only pass holders, are welcome to attend. SML is the cornerstone sponsor of the conference and exhibition.

LIVE! 2018 is RFID Journal’s 16th annual conference and exhibition. It will feature an Item-Level Retail and Apparel preconference seminar on Apr. 10, with speakers from Target, FiftySix, GS1 and the Auburn University RFID Lab. There will also be a two-day Retail and Apparel Track on Apr. 11-12, with speakers from U.K.-based retailers Jack Wills and River Island, as well as Sonae of Portugal, Kevingston of Latin America and Welspun of India. The conference program will include a total of eight tracks and eight preconference seminars, two post-conference training classes, fast-track training provided by RFID4U, and RFID Professional Institute certification.

RFID Journal LIVE! is the largest RFID event in the world, with an exhibit hall featuring the leading RFID companies from around the world. The event will be hosted alongside the IEEE RFID 2018 co-located event (see RFID Journal LIVE! 2018 to Host IEEE RFID 2018), and attendees will hear from the finalists of the 2018 RFID Journal Awards (see Finalists Unveiled for 12th Annual RFID Journal Awards).
