Intelliguard is using RFID as part of its reimagined product line of integrated solutions for hospitals and healthcare systems that support increased patient safety and operational efficiency.
Intelliguard, a provider of medication management and data intelligence solutions, unveiled its Mira Ecosystem officials say offers a smarter approach to medication and inventory management with real-time item-level tracking, interoperable data architecture and industry-leading workflows
“We pride ourselves on developing innovative solutions that bridge meaningful gaps in the healthcare industry and break down siloed data,” said Robert Howard, Intelliguard CEO in a press statement. “This new chapter for the company marks a significant milestone as we pave the way for a new standard in patient care by providing the real-time, data integrity necessary for providers and hospitals to create an environment of safety.”
RFID Use in Mira
By implementing these real-time medication tracking solutions, Intelliguard’s Mira Ecosystem tackles hospital challenges such as drug shortages, medication errors, 340B compliance, and drug diversion to maximize hospital efficiency and increase patient safety, according to company officials.
The Mira Ecosystem includes Mira Intelligence, Mira CareMira Supply, and Mira Prep. As a key component in hospital pharmacy workflows, the Prep Station enables RFID-powered automation so pharmacists can swiftly identify a wide range of medications, circumventing manual processes and significantly reducing preparation time. Instead of manually scanning medications, pharmacists can log and track medications and efficiently assemble trays with greater than 99 percent accuracy.
Mira Intelligence is tailored to meet the needs of healthcare providers, hospital pharmacies, therapeutic manufacturers, and distributors, aimed at streamlining and centralize medication inventory data. The Care Station is a medication-dispensing workstation for anesthesia providers that provides real-time data, an intuitive clinical workflow, and seamless tracking of controlled substances, while Supply Cabinet and Station seamlessly track critical medications and products for greater visibility and control across the supply chain—from manufacturer to patient.
