May 17, 2004—RFID was one of the technologies used in the prototypes demonstrated by Intel at an event showcasing the company’s current R&D focus. The most notable RFID-enabled product was the iGlove, a glove equipped with an RFID reader that interprets the actions of its wearer by sensing the items with which the hand is interacting.
