How Would I Print RFID Tag Data Using a Web-based Application?

Published: July 23, 2012

Please explain how this would be accomplished. And is there an off-the-shelf solution available that would do the job?

Every radio frequency identification system is different. Most readers forward tag data to middleware that filters that information and puts it in a format that a back-end application can understand.

Some readers transmit data in standard XML format, so you could write an application that passes raw XML data to a Web-based application, and then have that app display the time that the tag was read, the interrogator that read it and the data that was on the tag.

I am unaware of an off-the-shelf solution that could do this for you, however. If any of our readers know of such a package, please post information about it below.
