The City of Calgary is inviting companies that sell active radio frequency identification technologies to respond to a request for proposal (RFP) that has just been released.

The system will be part of Calgary Transit‘s future Advanced Passenger Information System (APIS) for light rail transit (LRT). The transit authority requires a vendor to design and implement an active RFID system to provide several functions. Interested vendors can click on the RFP link above for more information.
