Tag prices vary, depending on the volume you purchase, whether you are buying a raw inlay (just the transponder, mounted on a substrate) or a finished label, and other factors. The cheapest price advertised for an ultrahigh-frequency (UHF) EPC Gen 2 inlay is approximately 5.8 cents apiece, from Invengo Information Technology (see Invengo Debuts in the U.S. Market With 5.8-Cent Inlay).
As for your second question: Yes, you can purchase RFID interrogators from Impinj or Alien Technology in Russia. For Impinj equipment, contact Systematica or Intech Systems. And for Alien equipment, contact Stephen Crocker, Alien’s director of sales/channels for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India, at Alien’s Web site.
Good luck with your project
