RFIDJournal.com will be hosting a webinar on July 10 focused on how work-in-progress (WIP) tracking is currently being used in manufacturing.
Titled “Revolutionizing Manufacturing: Leveraging RFID for Real-Time WIP Tracking and Beyond,” the hour-long scheduled webinar will feature a panel discussion that dives into the transformative potential of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for WIP asset tracking within the manufacturing industry.
Doug Harvel, Senior IT Distribution Analyst, Kontoor Brands, will be one of the four finalist. Harvel is an RFID consultant with a combination of nearly 40 years’ experience in healthcare, manufacturing (encompassing the automotive, textile, and apparel industries) and distribution environment. He brings over 20 years of working with RFID and being heavily involved with input on EPC-enabled RFID Serialization Management for SGTIN-96 GS1 US Guideline.

Members of the panel scheduled are Kevin Berisso, director, AutoID Lab, University of Memphis; Rubin Press, chief commercial officer (CCO), Xemelgo; and Richard Woodburn, business development, passive RFID, Zebra Technologies Corp. James Hickey, managing editor, RFIDJournal.com, will be the moderator.
Throughout this webinar, the panelists will explore the practicalities of implementing RFID solutions, addressing challenges, building a strong business case, and scaling for complex operations.
