An upcoming episode of the network's 'World's Greatest' TV series will highlight how the solution provider's offerings help manufacturing and distribution companies address their inventory-tracking and warehouse-management challenges.

The American television network and syndication service  Ion Television produces a TV series called  World's Greatest. Created by Florida-based  How2Media Productions, the show is now in its fifteenth season. As an "edutainment" series, World's Greatest is designed to educate and amuse audiences, and it features behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with unique companies, products, individuals and travel destinations from around the planet. The businesses featured range from small companies to Fortune 500 firms.

World's Greatest's mission statement, according to its website, is to help viewers "connect with and understand the companies behind products people use every single day." In an upcoming episode, the show's focus will be on radio frequency identification and barcode solution provider  Barcom. The firm will be a featured company in episode #299, which aired on Mar. 28, 2021, with a second airing slated for today, after which the episode will be posted for online streaming.

Founded in 1991, Barcom provides automated data-collection solutions to users in the manufacturing, distribution, transportation and field-service industries. The company specializes in integrating its transaction software with hardware solutions designed for rugged environments. Devices include barcode scanners for warehouse operations, mobile-computing devices and tablets for remote and mobile workforce operations, and RFID-based real-time location system (RTLS) solutions for hands-free operation in and around warehouses.

During the episode, Barcom will highlight how its solutions can help manufacturing and distribution companies address challenges involving inventory tracking and warehouse management. The solution provider will be accompanied by one of its customers,  Siskin Steel & Supply Co., which will share some of the benefits users can achieve from adding automation technologies to warehouse workflows. Filming took place at Barcom's headquarters in Chattanooga, Tenn., with additional footage captured on location with the Siskin Steel & Supply team.

Ion Television debuted in 1998 as Pax TV, with a focus on family-oriented entertainment programming. After being rebranded as Independent Television ("i") in 2005 and converting to a general entertainment network, it evolved into Ion Television in 2007 and launched World's Greatest that same year. The Barcom episode will air on DirecTV channel 305 and Dish Network channel 250, as well as on Bloomberg Television, which is available as channel 353 on DirecTV and 203 on Dish Network.
