Rupert Thorpe joined John Lewis in 1982, working in a number of operational roles at different selling branches. As a branch general manager, Mr. Thorpe was responsible for back-of-house operations. In 2005, he transferred to John Lewis’ head office, and he is currently responsible for developing improvements in branch supply chain efficiency and on-shelf availability, including leading the company’s RFID efforts.
