Gena Morgan has been with GS1 and GS1 US for 18 years, playing a key role in many industry initiatives. As a standards development facilitator and adoption and implementation consultant, she has worked with constituents defining requirements, developing technical interface standards, and forming strategic initiative development and implementations with numerous industries. Gena facilitated the development of the GS1 Event Data Sharing standards, including EPCIS and Core Business Vocabulary, developed the Item Level RFID initiative and readiness programs, served on the Auburn RFID Lab Board and has been a contributor to many traceability standards. Currently, she is focused on the application of GS1 standards in emerging technologies, including blockchain.
