RFID based Super Market billing

By R. Musthaq 2017-02-23 10:24:18 AM

Hi there,

i was wondering why havent RFID been implemented for basket-at-once billing in Supermarkets. I found some initiatives such as The future store in Moscow, Russia which has been shut down as of now. Havent rfid cost come down so that they can be used for this purpose ?
ofcourse there is a giant problem of getting these labels onto the products to ease the billing process but isnt this type of billing better. What are the overhead costs each supermarket should face if some company comes with a practical implementation of rfid for billing.

is it economical and practically possible for rfid to be used as such ?
