March 3, 2005—A number of representatives from China were on hand at this week's RFID World conference in Dallas. The industry and government officials came to discuss the progress of RFID standards setting in China, a process being closely watched by the industry. The country intends to incorporate standards devised by the International Standards Organization (ISO) and EPCglobal, but it will make certain tweaks it deems necessary for the prosperity of RFID in China.
