May 14, 2004—Amid news that EPCglobal had discontinued the Class 0 and Class 1 working groups, assumptions spread that it may be withdrawing support for the specifications. The standards organization has now officially announced that the contrary is true: Class 0 and Class 1 remain strongly supported.
