Aug 14, 2018—
RFID Journal announced today that registration is now open for its RFID in Aerospace and Defense 2018 conference and exhibition, to be held on Dec. 12 at the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City, located in Arlington, Va. The one-day event will also feature fast-track RFID training on Dec. 11, provided by RFID4U.
This year's RFID in Aerospace and Defense event is designed to help companies in these sectors implement RFID technology to meet customers' tagging requirements, and to achieve significant benefits internally. Case studies presented by aerospace and defense firms already using RFID will help attendees to determine the best technology for their needs, as well as learn best practices from early adopters.
The conference sessions will cover a wide variety of applications relevant to the aerospace and defense sectors, including asset tracking, baggage tracking, work-in-process tracking, reducing the incidence of foreign objects left onboard, enhancing worker safety, supply chain management, customer compliance and more.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with RFID technology providers exhibiting at the event. These leading RFID companies will offer solutions specifically designed for the aerospace and defense sectors, such as high-memory tags and tags able to survive in harsh aerospace environments.
The conference will feature an advanced, one-day fast-track training course, presented by RFID4U. Using the latest equipment and relevant RFID deployment scenarios, this course will provide a solid foundation to design, install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot an RFID deployment. The training will prepare participants to take the RFID Professional Institute's Certified Associate exam onsite at the event.
"This is a great opportunity for aerospace companies to get their RFID teams trained and certified on how to implement the technology," said Mark Roberti, RFID Journal's founder and editor, "and to hear case studies from those leading the way to a more efficient, safe and profitable future."
