Learn How Hospitals Benefit from RFID and IoT Technologies

Attend RFID Journal's virtual event RFID in Health Care 2022 next week and find out how medical facilities can improve patient care and boost operational efficiencies.

In the healthcare field, hospitals and other medical facilities are employing radio frequency identification (RFID) and other Internet of Things (IoT) technologies to improve patient safety, increase asset utilization with real-time tracking, boost revenue with automated billing and reduce the incidence of medical errors using track-and-match applications. With that in mind, RFID Journal will host the virtual event RFID in Health Care 2022. Sponsored by Identiv, the event will take place on Sept. 22 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Attendees will hear how RFID and the Internet of Things are enabling healthcare providers to track assets, manage drugs and medical devices, improve patient care and much more. Among the event’s speaker sessions:

  • Dr. Ismail Uysal, an assistant professor at the University of South Florida, will present “Improving Patient Safety with Wearable Sensors,” which will outline how artificial intelligence and machine learning can detect falls by analyzing data from digital wireless wristbands worn at healthcare facilities. The same information can recognize different forms of human motion to create a better predictor of fall possibility.
  • Stefan Genser, Identiv’s sales director for RFID and transponder solutions, and Frederic Vicentini, NXP Semiconductors‘ senior manager of business development for RFID/NFC/IOT, will present “Meeting Future Healthcare Demands: NFC RFID Solutions in the Internet of Things.” The speakers will explore use cases that ensure product safety, provide personal health management and support, enable remote patient monitoring, streamline clinical processes and more, to demonstrate how embedded IoT solutions are revolutionizing the healthcare community.
  • And Seth Coombs the chief commercial officer at Genixus, will present “RFID Labels Track Single Doses of Propofol.” The pharmaceutical manufacturer and FDA-registered repackager and 503B outsourcer will discuss its RFID-enabled prefilled product, designed for use in the acute and critical-care setting.

Additional sessions will be provided as well. For more information and to register, visit the event’s website. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how your organization can benefit from RFID and the Internet of Things.
