Ask The ExpertsWhere Can I Find a UHF RFID Tag With a Read Range of More Than 15 Feet?
RFID Journal Staff asked 11 years ago

I am conducting research for a new project, and recently saw the AD-110m5 ultrahigh-frequency RFID inlay listed on Avery Dennison's Web site. The site does not mention the read range for this type of tag, however. Is there a tag available, similar in size, that would provide a read range of 15 feet or more?

I reached out to Avery Dennison to answer your question. Here is the company's response: "The AD-110m5 inlay is a near-field UHF inlay, and depending what it is being applied to, it is designed to get no more than about 12 inches of read range. Our smallest UHF inlay that would achieve 15 feet or more of read range would be our AD-232iL or AD-233m5 products. The estimated read range is approximately 30 feet. The inlay size is 2.76 inches by 0.57 inch."
