On our Web site, we have a Get Started section that provides all of the basics of RFID technology. This includes information regarding the history of radio frequency identification, systems components and costs, as well as background on standards, common business applications, consumer applications and more.

What’s more, at each of our events—such as RFID Journal LIVE! 2009, being held next week in Orlando, Fla.—we offer an RFID Journal University course that covers the basics of RFID. RFID Journal University is designed to provide those new to RFID with the foundational knowledge needed to begin understanding how the technology can be applied to solve specific business problems, as well as choose the proper option for a specific application and select the right vendors to achieve a successful outcome.
